Coloproctology is concerned with the study, diagnosis, and treatment of all types of colorectal disorders. This includes treating both benign and cancerous conditions with the colon, liver, bladder, rectum, anus, and appendix.

Our specialists offer intestinal examinations, such as colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy.  Some patients are provided with outpatient therapy for hemorrhoids.

Colorectal cancer can be avoided by routine screening. A colorectal polyp is now most commonly diagnosed by screening and removed before they can turn into cancer. Based on the level of cancer and other conditions, various therapy methods can be used at the same time. Treatments are most likely to be useful for early-stage cancers.

Colorectal cancer can be treated with medications administered by mouth or directly into the bloodstream.

You will want to consult a doctor for genetic therapy and genetic tests, whether you have a family history of colorectal polyps or cancer or any other signs associated with such syndromes.

When should I go to see a Coloproctologist?

If you are 50 years  or older and have an increased probability of colon cancer—you have no health risks for
colon cancer other than age—you may be recommended to have a colonoscopy every 10 years or even earlier for colon cancer.
You will need to be screened before age 50 if there is colorectal cancer in your family. Speak to your doctor about the chance of colorectal cancer. The specialist will help you determine which examination you need.
